Scrub Scout Nurses – Contract Opportunities Across Australia

We are seeking experienced Scrub Scout Nurses to join our team on a contract basis, with opportunities available across metro, regional, and remote locations throughout Australia.

This role is ideal for perioperative nurses seeking flexibility, travel opportunities, and exposure to a variety of surgical environments while supporting safe, high-quality patient care.

About the Role

As a Contract Scrub Scout Nurse, you will work within perioperative teams to provide skilled scrub and scout support across a range of surgical specialties. Contract placements may be in public or private hospitals, depending on location.

Essential Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Scrub Scout / Perioperative Nurse

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

• National Police Check

• Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain)

Desirable Skills

• Experience across multiple surgical specialties

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to adapt quickly to new theatre environments
