Contractor Psychology, Counselling & Social Work

Job Description

We are currently seeking a part-time Psychologist to join our rapidly growing team of Allied Health Professionals in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our patients.

Southport Metro Medical Centre is a family-owned non-corporate practice that offers a flexible alternative to working in private practice.

Our Medical Centre was established with the goal of helping our community live healthy and enjoyable lives. We continuously strive to achieve this by adopting new models of care and expanding our services. In this role, you will play an integral part in our mission by providing psychiatry, psychology, and coaching services to adult clients with various presentations such as anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, and ADHD.

The delivery of this role can be through telehealth and/or face-to-face services, providing you with flexibility and adaptability in meeting the needs of our patients.

As we expand our business, we are looking for an additional part-time registered psychologist/clinical psychologist. This position offers the possibility of working from home, allowing for a flexible and convenient arrangement. We promote a transparent and respectful working environment, fostering collaboration and support among our patients and coworkers.

Furthermore, as part of our larger network, you will have the opportunity to care for patients from our other medical centers based in Queensland. This opens doors to diverse experiences and a broader patient base.

As a Psychologist at Southport Metro Medical Centre, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including General Practitioners, Skin Cancer Doctors, Cosmetic Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals, and other mental health professionals. Together, we provide vital and effective care to patients in need.

You will have the flexibility and time to tailor your approach to meet the unique needs of each patient, making a real difference in their lives. Consultations will be conducted through our digital telehealth platform or, if preferred, in face-to-face consultations within our General Practice.

All consultations are billed privately.

To thrive in this role, you should be an AHPRA registered psychologist/clinical psychologist with a wide range of interest in mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

Your effective communication skills, patient-centric approach, and collaborative nature will contribute to a positive patient experience. Working within a multidisciplinary team environment will provide opportunities for learning and growth.

At Southport Metro Medical Centre, we value work-life balance and offer flexibility in determining your work schedule. We provide a diverse patient mix, allowing you to broaden your experience and enhance your professional development through ongoing CPD opportunities.

Our supportive admin team ensures less paperwork, enabling you to focus on delivering quality care to our patients.

We would love to have a confidential discussion with you to further explore this opportunity. Please contact Marama Montgomery at 045 100 6200.

Alternatively, you can click the apply now button and submit your resume. Join our team at Southport Metro Medical Centre and be part of a supportive and fulfilling career, where your potential as a Psychologist can be maximised, bringing you closer to your goals.
