Job Description

Momentum Health Australia invites General Practitioners seeking a rewarding and fulfilling career to join our team in the stunning location of Airlie Beach, situated in the heart of The Whitsundays.

This DPA (District of Workforce Shortage) position offers an exceptional opportunity for career growth and professional development.

At Cannonvale Medical Centre, we are a well-established and successful practice known for our supportive team of Medical Practitioners, Allied Health professionals, Nurse Practitioners, Nursing Team, and highly experienced Operations and Administration staff. We take pride in our collaborative and inclusive environment, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual support.

Located in a DPA and RVTS (Remote Vocational Training Scheme) eligible area, our practice welcomes both non-VR (non-vocationally registered) and VR (vocationally registered) General Practitioners. This allows flexibility for doctors to satisfy their 19AA and 19AB requirements, ensuring that both experienced professionals and those seeking additional training opportunities can join our team.

As a General Practitioner at Cannonvale Medical Centre, you will have the chance to embrace the challenges and opportunities in health and community care within the rural area of The Whitsundays.

This period of growth presents an exciting opportunity to provide continuity of care to our diverse community of patients. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the healthcare landscape and making a positive impact on the well-being of our community.

Our practice offers a comprehensive range of services, including primary health, a dedicated Skin Cancer Clinic, Acute Care, and Community Services. This wide array of offerings provides numerous opportunities for health professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of their patients. Joining our team means becoming part of a dynamic and forward-thinking business unit that is focused on growth, family-oriented values, and progressive healthcare practices.

While rural experience is desirable, we welcome applications from General Practitioners with diverse backgrounds and skill sets. Many city-based GPs have successfully transitioned to working with us, bringing their unique expertise and perspectives to our practice.

You do not need to hold a Fellowship (or equivalent) from either the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACCRM) or be vocationally registered. However, General Practice experience is required to be eligible to apply for a 3GA (General Practice Training) program.

Essential for applicants is General Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or above. This ensures that you meet the necessary regulatory requirements to practice medicine in Australia.

By joining our team at Cannonvale Medical Centre, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, surrounded by a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. We believe in fostering a positive work-life balance and providing opportunities for ongoing professional development. Together, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the health and well-being of our patients and the broader community.

If you are a passionate and dedicated General Practitioner looking to embark on an exciting and fulfilling career in Airlie Beach, we encourage you to apply. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to work in a breathtaking location while making a positive impact on the lives of your patients.
