Job Description

Cannonvale Medical Centre is on the hunt for a passionate Podiatrist to join our experienced Medical and Allied Health team. 

We have a well-earned reputation for genuine care with every patient feeling that their main concern and overall health is our priority.

We use evidence based practice to not only treat presenting symptoms but the underlying cause of each issue as well. Our Medical Practitioners and Allied Health team work collaboratively together as a close-knit team to support and learn from one another.

We are looking for a Podiatrist who loves what they do, pays attention to detail, is confident, reliable, friendly, self-motivated, willing to learn and is in it for the long haul.  The successful applicant will need to be a team player, who although works autonomously can also work with support staff, colleagues and other health professionals. 

We are seeking a Podiatrist to be available to work regular sessions to support the needs of our patients. 

The successful applicant must be competent in all aspects of podiatry, be covered by their own indemnity insurance, be eligible for a Medicare Provider number and excellent communications and people skills.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Podiatrist to join our expanding team of both Allied Health and Medical Practitioners.

This is a position in a vibrant, busy well respected Medical Centre, offering a varied work load, focused on podiatry and preventative healthcare with flexible session times.
 
We have a number existing internally referred patients and a high number of diabetic patients needing the assistance of a passionate and experience Podiatrist. 
 
Opportunity to grow your patient base by accepting external referrals from the wider Whitsundays region is part of long term growth plan.
 
 
Essential criteria for this role:
  • A seamless ability to fit our team culture is paramount.
  • A Tertiary qualification in podiatry, professional indemnity insurance and current registration with AHPRA.
  • Strong communications skills with a friendly, caring manner, motivated to continually self improve.
  • The ability to successfully work and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a fast learning ability.
  • Motivation and interest in all aspects of podiatry and foot care.
  • A strong attention to detail and time management, whilst maintaining an impeccable standard of service.
  • The ability to utilise Best Practice Medical software and make consult notes for each session
  • Report writing skills for external referring practitioners.
