We are seeking a Medical Practitioner with FRACGP or RACPG and/or ACRRM to provide multidisciplinary clinical services for a Multipurpose Health Service.
You will be treating public inpatients, outpatients, accident and emergency and aged care patients for the Hospital with authority to conduct private practice at the GP surgery concurrently with the duties for the Hospital.
Utilising your knowledge of current medical practices you will be expected to demonstrate experience across a number of clinical fields including general medicine, geriatrics, mental health and drugs & alcohol with an ability to provide a range of general practice services. You will also be able to demonstrate your ability to practice medicine in a multi-disciplinary team and cross-cultural environment.
The position is permanent full-time (80 hours per fortnight).
Salary
The base salary on offer is $159479 to $184196 per annum dependent upon experience and private practice arrangements

Hospital and location
Located west of Mackay with a population of just over 3000, the Hospital has 10 acute beds and 6 aged care beds. A range of outpatient services are provided by Resident and visiting Clinicians and Allied Health practitioners . The Health Service also manages a second facility offsite which has 16 aged care beds.
The town is the first inland settlement in the tropics with a rich copper and gold mine history. Home of an impressive national park which is host to a range with a series of dramatic volcanic plugs that were formed when volcanoes erupted some 29-32 million years ago making for truly scenic hiking and photography. The town also boasts a 9-hole golf course and a dam with two boating ramps.
