Wavelength International's History
Dr. John Bethell and Claire Ponsford established Wavelength International with a profound vision—to forge a medical recruitment company committed to the well-being of its staff. Their belief was that a team that genuinely cares about their work would extend the same care to doctors and healthcare employers they serve.
Fast forward nearly a quarter of a century, and Wavelength stands as an acclaimed and pioneering medical recruitment agency. It has flourished into a team of over 90 dedicated professionals, unwavering in their commitment to the same principles and enthusiasm that ignited their journey.
Our Purpose
We firmly believe that the healthcare system can offer more to its patients when those who work within it are content, healthy, and in roles that truly suit them. At Wavelength, we empower extraordinary individuals to script their own narratives, guiding doctors towards the lives and careers they desire.
What We Do
No matter where you are or where you aspire to go, we're here to accompany you every step of the way. We build connections by recognizing the unique qualities of every candidate and client.
Each year, we unite more than 3,500 doctors with positions that align with their aspirations and lifestyles. Every role we fill contributes to a doctor's successful career and fortifies the overall healthcare system.
We're All-Encompassing

Our comprehensive knowledge of the field equips us to better serve all regions across Australia and New Zealand, including rural and remote communities, as well as those facing resource shortages or distinct needs.
