We seek a new Practice Nurse to join our team.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a General Practice Nurse to join our well-established Mixed Billing General Practice in Southport, on The Gold Coast. Our practice is known for providing comprehensive medical and healthcare services, and we take pride in our excellent reputation within the community. Applicants for this role must hold Australian recognised qualifications and be registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency). We value attributes such as being a team player, possessing excellent communication and clinical skills, and having basic computer proficiency. Knowledge of Best Practice, a widely used medical software system, would be advantageous.
Previous experience in nursing within a General Practice environment is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should have expertise in various areas, including triage, wound care, immunizations, care plans, preventative medicine, procedural assistance, and management of medical supplies. We rely on our General Practice Nurse to handle a range of responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of our practice and the provision of top-notch patient care.

The nurse must have a friendly, caring and supportive nature towards patients and other health professionals, with “CAN DO” attitude.
Basic Duties are:
- Triage and assessment of patients
- Assistance in minor procedures
- Immunisation, including Cold-Chain management knowledge
- Instrument sterilisation
- Uploads of eHealth records
- Care Plan Preparation and management
- Health Assessment's
- Medical supplies management
- Replenish medical supplies in consulting rooms
- ECG/Spirometry, ear syringing
- Wound dressing and management
