About the Role
As the Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant operation of Cannonvale Medical Centre. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to managing a busy healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Practice Operations & Compliance
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the medical centre, ensuring efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and workplace health & safety requirements.
- Implement and monitor policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.
✅ Financial & Business Management
- Oversee billing, Medicare compliance, and financial reporting to maintain profitability and sustainability.
- Manage practice budgets, payroll, and expense control.
- Identify growth opportunities, implement cost-effective solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
✅ Staff Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and support administrative and clinical staff, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
- Oversee staff rostering, training, and performance management.
- Ensure the team is motivated, engaged, and delivering exceptional patient care.
✅ Patient Experience & Customer Service
- Ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction, implementing strategies to improve patient engagement and retention.
- Manage and respond to patient feedback and concerns professionally and efficiently.
✅ Technology & Digital Health Integration
- Manage the practice management software (Best Practice)
- Oversee telehealth services, digital patient records, and other technological advancements to streamline processes.
About You
We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on leader with a passion for healthcare management and operational excellence.
Essential Criteria:
✔ Proven experience as a Practice Manager (or similar healthcare leadership role).
✔ Strong understanding of Medicare, billing processes, and healthcare compliance regulations.
✔ Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
✔ Experience with practice management software (Best Practice).
✔ Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage competing demands in a busy medical environment.
✔ Financial management experience, including budgeting, payroll, and reporting.
✔ A passion for delivering high-quality patient care and improving healthcare services.
Desirable Criteria:
➕ Experience working in a general practice or multi-disciplinary medical environment.
➕ Knowledge of telehealth services and digital healthcare innovations.
➕ Qualifications in Practice Management, Business Administration, or Healthcare Leadership.
